We once received a brief full of references from cities that had little to do with the project site. We replaced it with one page and three questions: who is this space for, what should it make possible and what should it feel like after ten years?
less noise, better decisions
The shorter brief helped the client, the makers and the design team see the same project. It left room for local materials, budget realities and the things no moodboard can predict.
